Trump wrote on the social media platform Truth Social that this would happen shortly after the November US election, in which he is seeking to defeat President Joe Biden and return to the White House. “Evan Gershkowitz, the Wall Street Journal reporter who is being held by Russia, will be released almost immediately after the Election, but certainly before I take office.
