Trump suggests he received majority votes in New Mexico in 2016 and 2020

Former President and Republican candidate for President of the United States, Donald Trump, falsely suggested this Thursday (31) that he won New Mexico in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, despite having lost in the state so much to President Joe Biden as for 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

“We almost won twice. And I believe we won twice,” Trump declared at a rally in Albuquerque, New Mexico. “Look, I’m only here for one reason. Everyone said, ‘Don’t come.’ And I asked: ‘Why?’. They told me, ‘You can’t win in New Mexico.’ I replied: ‘Look, your votes are manipulated. We can beat New Mexico.”

Biden beat Trump in New Mexico in 2020 by more than 10 points and Clinton won in 2016 by more than eight points. Trump won’t admit he lost the 2020 election and regularly makes false election comments.
