Trump warns against “violent course” in nuclear negotiation with Iran

United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he does not want nuclear negotiations with Iran to take a “violent course,” pressing Iranians to accept an agreement.

“You are also working very close to us with regard to the negotiation of an agreement with Iran, which is the much friendlier way you could see,” Trump said at a dinner at a government agenda in Doha, Qatar.

“I mean, two paths, there are only two ways. It’s not three, four or five, it’s two. There is a friendly and non -friendly way, and not friendly is a violent path, and I don’t want it. I will say that right away. I don’t want it, but they need to move,” added the president.

The United States has been conducting high -risk negotiations with Iran in recent weeks. The US special envoy Steve Witkoff is on Qatar for a state visit and has led the American side at meetings.

Both the US and Iran agreed to continue negotiations on a nuclear deal. Trump did not publicly comment on the details he seeks, except that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
