The Republican -controlled US Senate voted in favor of the start of the debate on the sweeping bill by President Donald Trump’s taxes and expenditure, in a basic, however procedural, vote on Saturday night (local time). Trump’s basic legislative objective passed the first procedural obstacle with 51 votes in favor and 49 against, with two Republican senators voting against it.
