The Trust Wallet crypto wallet team has entered into a partnership agreement with the non-profit organization The Open Network (TON).

According to the release, Trust Wallet developers intend to leverage Telegram’s vast user base to explore the GameFi and decentralized applications (dApps) sector. The partnership is expected to enable the Web3 wallet provider to implement the functionality of sending and receiving Toncoin (TON) tokens.
In comments Cointelegraph Trust Wallet’s Head of Product Nate Zou noted that the project’s team aims to provide users with “broader access to the TON ecosystem.” This could include both intra-network swaps and cross-chain exchanges, as well as support for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the TON network.
The developers said the collaboration will see the integration of the TonKeeper wallet into Trust Wallet “in the coming weeks.”
In July 2024, the TON Foundation announced the launch of a cross-chain bridge for bitcoin transfers. As noted by the organization’s representatives, the new product will expand the possibilities of using the first cryptocurrency in the TON network.
