Tsavousoglou in conflict: We told the UN that Greek sovereignty over the islands is debatable

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu gave a press conference on the foreign policy assessment for 2021 in Ankara, in which he announced that the meeting of the delegations sent by Turkey and Armenia on the attempt to normalize relations between the two countries, end of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh, will be held in Moscow.

In addition, the Turkish Foreign Minister referred to the issues with Afghanistan and Libya, but once again succeeded against Greece and Cyprus:

“We have resolutely defended the legal rights and interests of our country and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (the Turkish name used for the pseudo-state) in the Eastern Mediterranean. In 2021, Greece and the Greek Cypriot administration tried to send research ships to three 7 times; we prevented them all with our diplomatic initiatives and our presence in the field when needed. We put the vision of a two-state solution on the world agenda based on sovereign equality and equal status. “We recorded our legal policy with the TRNC in the informal meetings in Geneva. We did not tolerate hostile steps towards our country from Greece,” Tsavousoglou said, and then launched a direct offensive against Greece:

“We did not leave gaps either in diplomacy or in the field, on important issues such as the issue of demilitarization of the Aegean islands. Also, in a letter we sent to the UN, we stated that “The efforts of the Prime Minister of Greece as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, to artificially increase the tension in the Aegean, are dangerous for peace and stability. Our position on this issue is clear, as is our determination.”
