Tselik attack against K. Mitsotakis for Kastellorizo and ‘targeting’ Erdogan

The representative of the ruling AKP party, Omer Celik, launched a personal attack against Kyriakos Mitsotaxis, on the occasion of his reference to neo-Ottoman perceptions of Ankara in the interview that the Greek prime minister gave to CNN yesterday.

Mr Celik argued that Mr Mitsotakis “targeted” Erdogan and added that “Mitsotakis’ statement that Turkey is ‘reviving neo-Ottoman revisionist fantasies’ is a phrase he uses to cover up his own illegal policies”.

The representative of Erdogan’s party referred to Kastellorizo, arguing that “it is an example of the aggressive policy followed by the Greek prime minister”:

As he said, Mr. Mitsotakis “follows an expansionist and aggressive policy. Mitsotakis threatens the peace and stability of the region with his maximalist policy for the Eastern Mediterranean”.
