TSMC allegedly plans to build six additional facilities in the area where the factory is already located, making the facility the first TSMC gigafactory in the United States. The factory is expected to process over 100,000 wafers every month. By building it in the US, TSMC will be able to get much closer to major customers such as Apple, Nvidia and AMD.
