A shocking family drama has shaken Turin, where a 13-year-old girl suffered sexual abuse by her father and became pregnant. The story, however, also involves the mother of the minor, who is now under investigation for complicity in sexual violence.
Last July, the thirteen-year-old, scared and worried, showed up at the Sant'Anna hospital in Turin with her mother: she was seven months pregnant. But, when doctors tried to figure out who the baby's father was, the girl gave evasive answers: she spoke about a schoolmateof people met on social media and chat meetings.
According to the Turin Prosecutor's Office, the mother would have been aware of what was happening at home, but would not have reported it. For her complicity, which contributed to perpetuating the tragedy and hiding the truth, the woman is now under investigation.
But it was during the thirteen-year-old's hospitalization that the truth came to light: on the night between 9 and 10 July, her father, a 45-year-old Filipino, joined her in the hospital room Turin. The hidden cameras, installed by the investigators, recorded the horror: the man, despite the location and the fact that his daughter was pregnant, slipped under the covers and he raped her.
The DNA test on the fetus confirmed the paternity of the baby, who was born in August and was given up for adoption. During the investigations, prosecutor Enzo Bucarelli reconstructed the dramatic story, revealing that the abuse of the little girl had begun at least in the autumn of 2022.
The victim's father must now answer for sexual violence against the thirteen-year-old and mistreatment of his wife and other minor children. The investigations reveal the violence with which the 45-year-old treated his wife: he beat her with a stick, punched her and hit her in the face with objects. No one in the house dared to rebel against the man who, when contradicted, reacted with violence.
There is also a third suspect, a family friendwho allegedly convinced the thirteen-year-old not to reveal her father's responsibilities and to blame a partner.
