Turkey: 167 deaths due to COVID-19, a total of 18,100 infections

The Turkish Ministry of Health announced yesterday Thursday that 18,100 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours after 354,003 tests, with the registered infections reaching a total of 9,118,424.

The deaths of 167 patients due to complications of COVID-19 increased the death toll to 79,863 dead until yesterday, March 11, 2020, when the new coronavirus pandemic broke out in Turkish territory.

At the front of the immunization campaign, from January 14, 2021 until now, 51.07 million people have been fully vaccinated – out of a total population of 83 million – while 56.61 million have received the first dose, according to official data. A total of 122.39 million doses have been given, including third-party souvenirs.
