Turkey: 168 deaths due to COVID-19

The Turkish Ministry of Health announced yesterday Thursday that 18,771 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours after 355,753 tests, with the registered infections reaching a total of 9,247,606.

The deaths of 168 patients due to complications of COVID-19 increased the death toll to 81,125 dead until yesterday, March 11, 2020, when the new coronavirus pandemic broke out in Turkish territory.

As for the immunization campaign, from January 14, 2021 until now, almost 52 million people have been fully vaccinated – out of a total population of 83 million – while 56.75 million have received the first dose, according to official data. A total of 127.28 million doses have been administered, including third-party souvenirs.
