The Turkish Ministry of Health announced yesterday Tuesday that 19,859 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed in the previous 24 hours after 353,152 tests, with the registered infections reaching a total of 9,209,740.
The deaths of 187 patients due to complications of COVID-19 increased the death toll to 80,778 dead until yesterday, March 11, 2020, when the new coronavirus pandemic broke out in Turkish territory.
As for the immunization campaign, from January 14, 2021 until now, almost 52 million people have been fully vaccinated – out of a total population of 83 million – while almost 56.7 million have received the first dose, according to official data. A total of 125.76 million doses have been given, including third-party souvenirs.
