The former Celtics center was endorsed by the Erdogan government in the amount of $500,000.
Kanter was considered by the president of Turkey to be a member of a terrorist organization because he supported Fethullah Gulen and is now on the “Most Wanted Terrorist List”.
“Before the announcement, the Turkish secret services were going after those on the list, but now everyone will do it because they want the money,” Kanter told the New York Post.
