Shocking is a video from a coffee shop in Turkey showing a man hitting his ex-wife in front of their baby right next to a stroller, with the incident being added to a long list beatings and gender-based violence in the neighboring country.
According to hurriyet.com.tr, which published the video from closed circuit television, the perpetrator of the attack is a 34-year-old man, who beats his ex-wife, with whom he had divorced 3 months ago, in a cafe in the city of Soma of Manisa province in western Turkey in front of their four month old baby.
A verbal confrontation ensued and then the man got up and started beating the woman holding a broken glass and a knife in his hand.
As can be seen in the video, two people who were in the cafe intervened trying to remove the man, who also attacked them in order to escape.
A patrol rushed to the spot and the perpetrator was arrested a little later.
