Turkey begins major aviation exercise “Sea Wolf” in Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea

Turkey has announced that on Easter Tuesday it will begin the major aeronautical exercise “Thalassolykos” of its navy, which will be held in the Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea. In a press conference held at the Turkish Navy's headquarters in Golcuk, Propontis, the commander of the Turkish Fleet Operations Directorate, Rear Admiral Kaan Turkkan, said that 100 surface ships, eight submarines, 39 aircraft, 16 helicopters, 28 non- manned aircraft, seven unmanned vessels (including the new kamikaze boats), two teams of the Submarine Disaster Unit, three teams of the Undersea Operations Unit, six Coast Guard vessels, early warning aircraft and 15,000 personnel.
