Turkey: Erdogan opens a service for the Palestinians that Israel blames for working with Hamas

The UN Palestinian Refugee Service (UNRWA) will open an office in Ankara, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said today, urging Muslim countries to give the reported service more support after being banned by Israel. Israel banned UNRWA in 2024, announcing that it was giving work to members of the Hamas Palestinian armed movement who took part in the bloody attack of terrorists in Israel on October 7, 2023, causing Israel’s invasion of Gaza Strip. Turkey has described Israel’s attack on Gaza and its move to ban UNRWA, a violation of international law, in particular, with the aim of deteriorating the humanitarian situation in Gaza, which has been downgraded sharply, as millions of residents have been forced.
