Turkey has beaten Brazil in the new cases in the last 24 hours

The Brazilian Ministry of Health announced yesterday Thursday that 627 patients with COVID-19 died in the previous 24 hours and 27,527 cases of SARS-CoV-2 were confirmed.

With 596,749 deaths since the outbreak of the new coronavirus in its territory, Latin America, the largest country with a population of 212 million, has the second heaviest death toll in the world in absolute terms, behind the United States (some 696,000 deaths). The number of reported cases is 21,427,073; Brazil ranks third in the world in terms of the number of infections, after the USA and India, according to official data.

Mexico: 533 deaths and over 8,800 cases in 24 hours

The Mexican Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 533 patients with COVID-19 had died in the past 24 hours and 8,828 cases of SARS-CoV-2 had been confirmed.

With 277,505 deaths since it broke out in its territory until yesterday, the country of 126 million inhabitants records the fourth heaviest death toll from the new coronavirus pandemic on the planet in absolute terms. The recorded cases amount to 3,664,223, according to the data of the ministry, which, however, its executives acknowledge that they are very underestimated in relation to reality.

Iran: 268 deaths and more than 14,000 cases in 24 hours

Iran’s Ministry of Health announced on Thursday that 268 patients with COVID-19 had died in the past 24 hours and 14,078 cases of SARS-CoV-2 had been confirmed.

The pandemic of the new coronavirus in the Islamic Republic has reached this stage since its outbreak in February 2020 in Iran with 120,428 deaths out of a total of 5,587,040 infections.

5,938 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in intensive care units (ICUs) of Iranian hospitals.

Turkey: Over 29,000 cases and 216 deaths in 24 hours

Since the immunization campaign was launched in Turkey on 14 January, 53.84 million people have received the first dose of the vaccine, more than 44.49 million have received the second dose, and a total of almost 109.5 million doses have been administered, including the Ministry.

Bulgaria: More than 500,000 cases, more than 20,800 deaths

The death toll from a new coronavirus pandemic in Bulgaria reached 20,812 dead on Thursday, as the Ministry of Health announced that another 87 COVID-19 patients had died in the past 24 hours, while 2,142 cases of SARS-CoV were diagnosed in the same period. 2, with the total number of officially registered infections exceeding the half-million mark and reaching 500,112.

Germany: Over 10,000 cases and 73 deaths in 24 hours

The confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 in Germany increased by 10,118 in the previous 24 hours, reaching 4,237,619, according to the figures published today, Friday, by the Robert Koch Institute, the country’s epidemiological surveillance body.

The deaths of 73 patients with COVID-19 have increased the death toll from the country’s new coronavirus pandemic to 93,711 to date, according to the same source.
