Turkey: Plane engulfed in flames while landing at Antalya airport

A fire broke out in the engine of a passenger plane at the time of landing, at the airport of Antalya, Turkey. The plane was en route from Russia to the Turkish coastal city. All 87 passengers and 4 crew members evacuated safely and there were no injuries from the incident. Videos posted online show emergency crews rushing to the scene as flames and smoke billow from the engine. According to the Airport Haber website, the aircraft is a 100-passenger Sukhoi Superjet and was coming from the Black Sea resort of Sochi. According to the airport’s website, an Azimuth Airlines plane that had departed from Sochi landed in Turkey at 20:25 (Greece time).
