Turkish analyst: Agreements do not allow bases in Crete – We did not talk then because it was American

And where one wonders if something more outrageous can come out of the Turkish side than what has already been said in recent days, a look at the Turkish media is enough.

CNN Türk probably thought that the issue of the Aegean islands and the review of Greek sovereignty over them is tiring. But instead of stopping, they just … changed area. In a show on Thursday night, the focus was on Crete and the arguments exactly the same as those invoked by the Turkish “analysts” and “professors” for the Aegean islands.

In a show, former Minister Masum Turker, among other things, says that “according to the agreements, the establishment of bases is not allowed in Crete” and goes on to conclude that “when it was established because it was an American base, we remained silent”, which leads to the consequence that they must now act.
