Turkish media celebrate: Turkey got what it wanted from Sweden, Finland – Terms of agreement

The media in Turkey is in a frenzy after the announcement of an agreement lifting the Turkish veto on the accession of Sweden and Finland to NATO, as it seems that the two Baltic countries have made significant concessions to the PKK and the Kurds.

The line of the Erdogan government clearly seems to be that the Turkish president appeared strong and got what he wanted, as the majority of the Turkish media have exactly the same title, in a clear effort aimed at domestic consumption.

“Turkey got what it wanted!” Hürriyet writes emphatically that the details of the joint statement signed after the quadripartite Summit have been announced.

“An agreement came out of the quadripartite summit in Madrid! Turkey got what it wanted …” is the title of its piece by the fanatically Erdogan Milliyet.
