BOE showcased its latest development in China, a 65-inch 8K TV with a frame rate of 240Hz. Given that the current PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X game consoles support 4K 120fps, BOE development may well become the standard for next-generation game consoles, which will be released in five years.
But 8K 240 fps TVs will appear on the general sale earlier – BOE can now scale the diagonal size up to 98 or 110 inches. Or even more. That is, mass production can be set up fairly quickly.
Interestingly, the a-Si 1G1D technology, with the use of which the innovative TV was created, provides not only an increased frame rate, but also a twofold increase in contrast. The device also uses proprietary BOE ADS Pro, EPQ and HSR technologies.
