A new version of “Twister” entitled “Twisters” hits Brazilian cinemas this Thursday (11). But for those who want to watch the original version, the 1996 classic is available on Telecine, within Globoplay, and on rental platforms such as Claro Video and AppleTV.
The title stars Bill Paxton (“Aliens, The Rescue” and “Titanic”), Helen Hunt (“As Good as It Gets” and “What Women Want”), Philip Seymour Hoffman (“Overcoat” and “The Master”), Jami Gertz (“The Lost Boys” and “Below Zero”) and more.
In the plot, college professor Jo Harding and a team of under-resourced students prepare a prototype for an innovative device that collects data on tornadoes, created by her ex-husband, Bill. When Harding tells Bill that the device is ready for testing, and that his rival has stolen his idea, Bill joins the team for one last mission in search of tornadoes.
The reboot, in turn, stars Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick” and “Everyone But You”) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (“Normal People” and “The Crawdads”). The story is about two storm chasers who risk their lives in an attempt to test an experimental weather warning system.
