Twitter announced that it is testing an improved image display interface on its social network. After several disagreements over how the service’s algorithms display images, the company began looking for new solutions to display larger, higher quality images on the feed.
Now, when posting one picture or photo to Twitter, its size will be significantly larger than before. Therefore, users will not have any problems with choosing a part of the image that will be visible in the general feed. In addition, Twitter will begin testing 4K posting so users can share high-quality pictures and photos. Later, they will be able to publish videos with a higher resolution.

The support service noted that testing will be selective, that is, not everyone will have new opportunities for working with media files at the initial stage. Selected users must activate the appropriate changes in the application settings in the Data Usage section.

In addition to these changes, the microblogging service in the coming months will see innovations such as Spaces (similar to Clubhouse) and Super Follow (paid subscription).
