Twitter said it will add a new feature that allows users to buy, sell and display non-fungible tokens (NFTs) directly through tweets.
To do this, the company has partnered with four trading platforms. The new feature is called NFT Tweet Tiles, which will display the NFT image on a special panel in a tweet, which, when clicked, will redirect the user to the item page on the marketplace.
Twitter has partnered with NFT Rarible, Solana-powered platform Magic Eden, Flow Dapper Labs, and sports-focused platform Jump.trade. In general, all these platforms span several blockchain networks: Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Tezos, Flow, and Immutable X.
NFT Tweet Tiles will not be strictly tied to these blockchains, so if an NFT from a partner site is attached to a tweet, it will also be displayed. However, the feature does not require a Twitter Blue premium subscription. Now NFT Tweet Tiles is being tested by users on iOS and desktop version.
Earlier, the Reuters news agency published the results of an internal study by Twitter, according to which English-speaking users are mainly attracted to the topic of cryptocurrencies and content for adults.
