Two bloody jihadist attacks on Niger – ten soldiers dead

Ten troops were killed and another 15 were injured on Friday, during two attacks in western Niger, near the border with Burkina Faso, attributed to jihadist organizations. The news was announced by the country’s defense minister, adding that the conflict was killed by 41 by the perpetrators. Niger, ruled by soldiers who seized power with a coup, has been facing jihadist attacks for over a decade. “On Friday, July 4, Bulonga and Samira’s defense and security forces in the prefecture of Gotta, were targeted by a hundreds of mercenaries,” – a term used by the Niger’s authorities for jihadists – said by Nigeros.
