Two dead and 18 injured from a Russian attack in Kharkiv

Two people were killed and at least 18 injured by Russian bombs in an attack in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv today, regional officials said. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said at least four explosions were heard in the urban area at noon. Rescuers are working in the area where he was injured. Kharkiv is about 30 kilometers from the border with Russia. This city of about 1.3 million people has been targeted several times by Russian attacks during the nearly 28-month war. The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that Moscow launched a large-scale attack on Ukrainian energy facilities overnight. According to the ministry, Russia targeted energy facilities that support military production as well as ammunition depots. Long-range missiles were fired from aircraft and ships, along with drones, in the attack. Source: RES
