THE Fire brigades of São Paulo confirmed the death of two people in the city of Lavrinhas, in the interior of the state, after a waterspout affected the region.
According to authorities, the agency was triggered for the occurrence after calling people who were at risk.
In all, 16 people were rescued at the scene — two victims remain unaccounted for.

The accident occurred on the Rio do Braço trail, which gives access to the Rancho do Zé Neto waterfall, after strong rains that fell in the region.
