Two politicians, allies of former Ecuadorian President Rafael Korea, are now criminalized for the murder of a candidate in the 2023 presidential election, as the country’s prosecutor’s office announced yesterday that they are alleged to be the perpetrators of the crime. This is Jose Serano, former Minister and the government’s key form, and Ronnie Alega, a former MP of Mr Korea’s faction, the prosecutor’s prosecution said, adding that he was also prosecuted by a businessman and noting that all three were currently abroad.
