Two Redmi smartphones unexpectedly receive the MIUI 13 beta version based on Android 12

Last week Xiaomi started preparing stable MIUI 13 builds for 7 devices including Xiaomi MIX 4, Xiaomi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi 11, Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G and Xiaomi Mi 10S. Yesterday Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Edition and Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G received an internal MIUI 13 stable build.

Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition, also known as Poco F3 GT in other countries, received its first beta version of MIUI 13. Build number is V13.0.0.1.SKJCNXM, shell is based on Android 12. Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, also known like the Poco X3 GT, also received the first internal beta version of MIUI 13 under the number V13.0.0.1.SKPCNXM, also based on Android 12.

Xiaomi has been working on MIUI 13 for 7 months now. MIUI 13 is expected to bring major changes from MIUI 12.5. First of all, the changes will affect the animation, new themes and sounds will be added. The pre-installed apps will also be improved. One of the most notable features will be the RAM expansion feature, which will allow the device to use a portion of the flash memory for this purpose.

MIUI 13 is expected to be unveiled in China on December 16 or 28.
