Samsung Electronics has begun to distribute a proprietary One UI 3.1 shell based on the Android 11 operating system for the Galaxy A50 smartphone (review).
The Galaxy A50 debuted a couple of years ago and has become one of the best-selling smartphones of 2019. The firmware numbered A505FDDU7CUBC is 1.9 GB in size.
The update brings quite a few new features including visuals for the home screen and quick settings, new widgets for the always-on screen, background video for calls, improved Digital Wellbein and parental controls, and much more.
In addition to the standard One UI 3.1 and Android 11 innovations, the update also includes the March 2021 Android security update.
