TXT reveals exciting details about new mini album 'minisode 3: Tomorrow'

“Firstly, I want to thank all the members of the press for taking time out of their busy schedules to be here today,” said SOOBIN, leader of k-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), at the press conference about the mini- album, “minisode 3: Tomorrow”, which took place this Monday (1st), in South Korea.

A CNN followed the event via video, which was attended by the five members, including YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN and HUENINGKAI.

They talked about the creative process of the mini album, which features the songs “I'll See You There Tomorrow,” “- — — — ·-· ·-· — ·–”, title track “Deja Vu,” “ Miracle,” “The Killa (I Belong to You),” “Quarter Life,” and finally, “Deja Vu (Anemoia Remix).”

And if you were surprised by the title “- — — — ·-· ·-· — ·–” of one of the tracks, it is a Morse Code, a system that represents the letters of the alphabet and numbers through dots and dashes. There are seven seconds that mean “Tomorrow”, or “Tomorrow”, in Portuguese.

According to YEONJUN, when the group debuted in 2019, they also made content using Morse Code. “It reminded me of our debut and I felt quite nostalgic about it,” said the singer.

The title track chosen for TXT's new era was “Deja vu” and, according to HUENINGKAI, the song leaves a melancholic and overwhelming feeling. “It’s a song that expresses that the moment in the future when we meet again feels like déjà vu.”

SOOBIN added that there was a part in the song where he knew there would be a dance break, so he had expectations for the performance. “It is, in fact, physically challenging for us, but I think it is the coolest of all our choreographies so far.”

Furthermore, the song has connections with the group's previous works. “Some parts of the lyrics will remind you of previous songs,” mentions BEOMGYU. HUENINGKAI details that there are references to “Crown”, the group’s debut song, as well as “LO$ER=LO♡ER” and “Run Away”.

The group also talked about the experience of recording the video, and BEOMGYU mentioned the behind-the-scenes of a specific scene he was in with YEONJUN. He admitted that during filming he was afraid that, when he looked at his friend, he would start laughing. But he was surprised by his performance. “When the camera started rolling, YEONJUN actually started crying right away,” he said. “I was really nervous, but I did my best not to make any mistakes. I was impressed that YEONJUN was immediately immersed in the moment.”

YEONJUN said he didn't know he would be able to cry so easily in front of the camera. “The director was just so good at creating that atmosphere and setting, and he gave me very detailed instructions to help me be completely present in that moment,” he praised.

The artists also commented on this being the group's fifth year and, for TAEHYUN, time flew by. “I can’t believe it’s been five years,” she says. “I look forward to the next five. And I think time will fly again because there's still so much I want to do with the MOAs [nome dos fãs] and the members. I want to be healthy and happy and be on stage and making music.”
