Uber users in the city of São Paulo can choose to travel with motorcycles starting this Thursday (5). The trip can be requested in the same way as other modalities, in the same application.
According to the company, the prices of the Uber Moto will be smaller than when ordering an UberX, the brand’s most economical and popular method. Safety features for both passengers and drivers remain the same.
According to Luciana Ceccato, the company’s marketing director in Brazil, the service has served as a complement to public transport in the places where it has been implemented.
“In addition to routine trips, there is constant use of arrivals and departures from bus, train and subway stations and terminals, proving that this is a product that also complements the displacement of users who use the public transport network”, says Ceccato.
The service has existed since November 2020 in Aracaju and Sergipe. Currently, 160 municipalities already have the travel option.
To register in the Uber application and drive in the new modality, the partner motorcyclist needs to have a definitive CNH with observation of remunerated activity (EAR).
