Uber Sled arrives in Lapland, home of Santa Claus, to celebrate Christmas

To get in the Christmas spirit and delight users of all ages, Uber announced the launch of Uber Trenó. Unfortunately, the service will only be available in Lapland, Finland and is the world’s first on-demand reindeer ride.

From December 12th to 18th, it will be possible to request a sleigh ride directly in the Uber app. The first tour of its kind will depart from the Appukka Resort in Rovaniemi and take guests and their companions on a two-hour ride through the snow-covered forests of the Lapland, known worldwide as the santa claus city 🇧🇷

The Uber Sled ride is free and will be available for booking twice daily. Availability is limited, so families and couples are recommended to check the Uber app regularly.

“At Uber, we are always looking for ways to bring a little bit of magic to every trip and, with the simple touch of a button, the user can live a unique experience, like a ride through one of the most beautiful places in the world. We are delighted to bring Christmas dreams to life with the launch of Uber Sled in Lapland,” said Anabel Diaz, General Manager of Mobility for Uber in Europe.
