French gaming giant Ubisoft will support five more blockchain and cryptocurrency startups through its grant program.
Previously, projects such as Sorare and Axie Infinity received grants from Ubisoft. Now startups aleph.im, Crucible, Guild of Guardians, Horizon Blockchain Games and NonFungible will receive support. In addition to the money, the projects will be offered additional opportunities for staff training, expert advice and assistance in development.
Guild of Guardians is a blockchain-based mobile RPG. Horizon Blockchain Games, which previously released the Sequence wallet and developer platform, is now developing the Skyweaver card game.
Aleph.im provides a multi-purpose blockchain platform that can be used for cloud computing or file storage. Crucible develops a cross-platform system for storing and processing user data using blockchain, while NonFungible focuses on non-fungible tokens (NFT) and the analytics of associated data.
Back in mid-2019, it was reported that Ubisoft was exploring the possibilities of blockchain for applications in the gaming industry.
