The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, the UK’s medical regulator, has given Green Light on Coronavirus Vaccine Jointly Developed by BioNTech SE and Pfizer Inc on Wednesday, concluding that it is safe and effective.
The vaccine will be available in the UK from next week.
The UK joint committee has confirmed approval of the vaccine and added that they will publish their final tip for vaccine distribution.
Health Minister Matt Hancock was quick to respond: “This is fantastic news from the regulator on Pfizer’s vaccine.”
