Additional comments

We are not immune to the global challenge of high inflation and slow growthfueled largely by Putin’s illegal war in Ukraine and its use as a gas supply weapon.

To achieve long-term sustainable growth, we have to control inflation, balance the books and get the debt to fallThere is no other way.

There is a very important gap in our national finances.

The sooner we deal with public finances, the sooner we can help families and businesses.

The best I can do as chancellor is develop a plan to reduce inflation and interest rates.
