UK industrial production drops 3.1% in September

The United Kingdom’s industrial production fell by 3.1% in September, year-on-year, the country’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) said on Friday. Analysts heard by Wall Street Journal predicted a larger decline of 3.7%.

Compared to August, the country’s industrial production grew by 0.2% in September. The expectation of analysts, in this case, was an advance of 0.3%.
