Ukraine: 23 civilians killed in Donetsk by Ukrainian bombing, Russians say – Kyiv denies

THE Russia reported today, Monday, that 23 people had been killed from a Ukrainian rocket in the city of Donetsk controlled by pro-Russian separatists, accusing it Kyiv for “war crime”. The leader of the Donetsk separatists, the Dennis Pusilinsaid on Russian television that it was a missile containing cluster bombs, which – as the French agency points out – are banned in most countries, but not in Russia and Ukraine.

Donetsk separatists, militarily backed by Moscow, have been at war with Kyiv since 2014 and their troops are currently taking part in the military offensive in Ukraine. Donetsk city center has largely escaped the fighting, especially since its inception war in Ukraineon February 24.
