Ukraine and the United States remain united in seeking to defuse a confrontation with Moscow through diplomacy and are working closely to curb Russian aggression, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said after talks with his US counterpart.
Kuleba spoke with Foreign Minister Anthony Blinken a day after the United States urged Russia in talks in Geneva to withdraw some 100,000 troops from areas near the Ukrainian border.
“In the midst of a week of diplomatic contacts with Russia, Ukraine and the United States remain united in their pursuit of de-escalation through diplomacy and force. We continue to work closely together to prevent further Russian aggression,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
