The Ukrainian army announced today that it had hit four warplanes on air base in the Volgograd region of Central Russia as part of an attempt to hit Russian war resources. In a post in the Telegram messaging application, the army announced that it had hit four SU-34 aircraft at the Marinovka air base outside Volgograd, about 900 km from the Ukrainian border. The post states that the operation was conducted by the Army Special Operations Department, along with the SBU Security Service and other army services. “According to first reports, four aircraft were hit by specific SU-34 planes, as well as technical and operational installations where various warplanes are repaired and maintained,” the statement said.
