The Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) today announced the arrest of a corruption official to fight corruption as a suspect for espionage on behalf of Moscow, and raided its offices. According to SBU, the National Bureau official for the fight against corruption (NABU) “worked in the organization’s most selective and secret unit”, the “D-2”, and “spying on Russian special services”. Ukrainian intelligence services have not revealed his identity. In a statement, they said that they had also conducted extensive investigations within the government organization and the prosecution specializing in the fight against corruption.
