Ukraine asks Brazil for medical supplies; list includes respirator and vital signs monitor

The Ukrainian government has forwarded to the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs a request for medical supplies to be sent to the country in the midst of the war. THE CNN had access to the 18-item list, which includes respiratory devices for adults and children and vital signs monitors. The list was sent by Itamaraty to the Ministry of Health this week so that the folder can indicate how the Brazilian government can meet the demand.

Health technicians are expected to respond to the request by the weekend, so that the supplies can be loaded onto the first Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane that will rescue Brazilians in Ukraine. The aircraft will leave Brasília next Monday (7), at 3 pm.

The list of Ukraine’s medical needs also includes a defibrillator, an electrocardiogram machine, surgical instruments and even a portable light source to perform examinations on war victims.

THE CNN found that the intention of the Ministry of Health is to be able to meet at least part of the Ukrainian request.
