The leaders of Britain, the United States, France, Germany and Italy have agreed that there should be no easing of Western resolve in Russia over the phone they have today.
The announcement was made by the office of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
“The leaders discussed the need to work together to reshape the international energy architecture and reduce dependence on Russian hydrocarbons. They agreed that there should be no easing of Western resolve until the horror in Ukraine has ended,” Downing Street.
In the same vein, the White House said in a statement that US President Joe Biden and the four European leaders he spoke to by telephone today had agreed to continue imposing sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
