The Ukrainian army claims to have “eliminated” two more Russian generals during fighting in the southeastern city of Kherson.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, a third general from the 49th General Staff of Russia is said to have been seriously injured and a Russian command center destroyed.
According to the BBC, Western experts estimate that more Russian generals have been killed in Ukraine than in any other conflict since World War II, indicating a lack of preparation that may require senior officers to put themselves in danger.
Earlier in the day, Britain’s defense services claimed that Ukrainian forces were carrying out successful counterattacks and continued to block Russian advance into the eastern part of the country.
