Several motorized infantry units of the Russian Armed Forces returned to their bases in Dagestan and Chechnya after completing the high schools in which they took part. Crimeareports the Interfax news agency, citing a press release of the Ministry of Defense that was published today.
Russia announced this week that it has begun withdrawing troops it has deployed in areas adjacent to Ukraine. Kiev and its allies in the West dispute that and argue that some units and hardware are simply being replaced by new and new ones.
Interfax also reported that a train with tanks left for their base in Nizhny Novgorod, without specifying where exactly, as reported by Reuters and relayed by the Athens News Agency.
TASS also reported that some 30 trucks with soldiers and equipment belonging to units of the western military sector are returning to their base, also without specifying where they left from.
