Ukraine presented the “Unmanned Systems Forces” in Kiev this Tuesday (11), one day after the military announced the appointment of a new commander.
A statement from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces released on Monday (10) reported that Vadym Sukharevskyi, deputy commander of the Armed Forces, was appointed to the position on the order of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

Sukharevskyi was appointed deputy commander in February, responsible for drones.
President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a decree in February calling for the creation of a separate branch of the armed forces dedicated to drones. The order was endorsed last week by the government.
The country’s top military commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has met in recent days with the country’s most successful drone units.
