Ukraine legalized cryptocurrency. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine wrote on its Telegram channel that President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the relevant law (the Verkhovna Rada adopted the document on February 17).

In accordance with it, local and foreign crypto exchanges will be able to legally operate in the country, banks will open accounts for crypto companies, and ordinary citizens will be able to keep their savings in virtual assets. At the same time, the state guarantees judicial protection of rights to cryptocurrencies.
The crypto market will be regulated by the National Bank and the National Securities and Stock Market Commission. In particular, they will determine the procedure for the circulation of virtual assets and issue permits to service providers, as well as exercise supervision and financial monitoring in this area.
