The mineral agreement between the US and Ukraine will be signed when US “partners” consider it convenient, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief of staff on Tuesday.
“Everything is ready” on the Ukrainian side for the mineral agreement to proceed, Andriy Yermak said, after Ukraine said he had agreed with a US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.
“The draft of this document was approved by the Ukrainian government. Even people who have the authority to sign it have already been identified. As for the American side, (when) our partners find it convenient, yes, this agreement will be signed, ”said Yermak.
Yermak added that the draft of the document is for “a framework” and that the work “in a more detailed document” will follow.
As for the 30-day ceasefire proposal, Yermak said Ukraine was “really satisfied” with the result of the US and Ukraine negotiations in Saudi Arabia and now expects a clear statement from Russia.
“Russia needs to say very clearly: they want peace or not, they want to end this war, which have begun or not,” he said.
