All external electricity lines that supply the Russian -occupied Zaporizia nuclear power plant in Ukraine to contribute to the refrigeration of the fuel to its reactors are out of service, the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) said today. “The Nuclear Nuclear Station of Ukraine lost all its power at 17:36 today, for the 9th time during the military conflict and for the first time since the end of 2023,” the International Atomic Energy Organization posted on the X Platform X, adding that the station was in operation. All six reactors of the nuclear power plant are off but the station needs electricity for its cooling systems for security reasons.
