Ukraine: Russian video of troop withdrawal – Britain wary

The last hours are extremely critical for the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that part of the troops, located in the military districts of Russia bordering Ukraine, return to their bases after completing military high schools. Britain is wary and demands a full-scale withdrawal to believe that Moscow has no plans to invade.

In particular, the Russian news agency Interfax reported that the ministry announced that, while large-scale high schools continue across the country, some units in the southern and western military districts have completed their exercises and begun to return to their bases.

Britain demands full withdrawal of Russian troops

These moves are contradictory in warnings from US and Britain that Russia may be preparing to invade Ukraine at any time.

British Foreign Secretary Liz Tras said Britain would have to see a full-scale withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine to believe that Moscow had no plans to invade.

The video with the withdrawal of Russian troops

Video images from the Russian Ministry of Defense, broadcast by the RIA news agency, show some tanks and other armored vehicles being loaded on platform wagons.

The ministry said it would use trucks to transport some equipment, while some troops would return on foot to their bases.

THE Russia has gathered more than 100,000 troops near the Ukrainian border, including a large military contingent conducting joint military exercises in Belarus until February 20, which means that the Ukraine is almost surrounded by the Russian armed forces, as broadcast by international agencies and the Athenian News Agency.

Russian markets reacted positively to the news of the withdrawal and the ruble, which was under pressure over fears of new Western sanctions in the event of war, gained 1.5% shortly after the announcement of the Ministry of Defense.
